We’re much further behind on pre-orders than we expected to be for a variety of reasons (stocking parts to match the increased orders, working through new-product bugs, childcare for our toddler being unavailable for the month, etc.) but we are getting them out slowly but surely! We send an update email if we don’t make the original 4-week goal, but we don’t want to spam you with emails after that. If you want to know where your order is in line, just ask and we’ll do our best to give you an accurate estimate! Every month seems to yield new surprises, but we’re very proud of the product we created and we can’t wait to see what you think!

Update 7/28/29,

The delay is currently based on an unexpected export restriction on BGO gamma scintillator used in the AB+G. This was due to trade restrictions with rare earth elements. As of now we are hopeful that all of our scintillator orders for BGO come in but we may be forced to switch to CsI(TI). This will result in a lower gamma sensitivity as CsI(TI) is less dense than BGO, but has a better spectroscopic resolution of ~9-10% FWHM 662Kev. The minimum detectable energy will also be lowered to ~20Kev. We will be transparent in our options over email in the coming weeks and get express permission for the scintillator change from each customer.
