Discounted MK.2: 8.89% Resolution and Reversed Pinout

Sale Price:$189.00 Original Price:$229.00
sold out

This is an older version of the MK.2 that is identical in function but has reversed pinouts and a substandard resolution. Rather than toss out a perfectly good product, we thought we’d offer it to someone who is a bit more technically savvy and doesn’t mind a wider peak when performing spectroscopy.

This item includes an older version of the break-out board that ships in the RadView Starter kit to compensate for the reversed pinouts, meaning it won’t impact functionality when used with its supplied B.O.B. At the time of manufacturing, this MK.2 tested at a resolution of 8.89%. We do our best to source scintillation crystals that are at or better than our resolution threshold, but that isn’t always what we get. This device has all of the same capabilities of a standard MK.2, the only difference is a substandard resolution and the reversed pinout. Therefore, we adjust the price accordingly and offer it to anyone who is willing to make it work! Resolution can also be impacted by factors such as tempurature and calibration method, meaning the number you get might not match the number shown here. To learn more about the factors that went in to the calibration for this specific device, or to receive a more detailed explanation of the pinout reversal, send us a message using our contact page.
